Dear Pro Board Certificant:

Thank you for your interest in the Institution of Fire Engineers, a worldwide fire engineering/service organization with 11,000 members in 23 countries—and growing.  You can become a part of this global organization because your certificates acquired through the National Fire Service Professional Qualifications Board are recognized as equivalent competencies in the IFE arena.

Attached are the means to apply for IFE membership—an overview sheet of what’s involved in applying, an application form (download and complete, following the instructions on the last page), and a helpful guide to completing a short narrative about your job and how you do it.  It all looks formidable, but it really isn’t; just follow the directions/instructions, attached copies of the necessary documents, and send it in.

Once your application is approved, you will be entitled to use post nominal honorific letters after your name signifying your worldwide qualification.

If you have questions about applying, please contact the Membership Chairman, Bill Kehoe, at KehoeFD@aol.com.

We look forward to your participation in this international group and trust you will find it a professional and personal rewarding experience.

Sincerely,

William W. Kehoe

William W. Kehoe, MIFireE
