University of Kansas Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute MEMORANDUM Date: March 21, 2005 To: Fire Service Members From: Glenn Pribbenow, Director Subject: Jess Andrews Retirement Dear Colleagues, Effective Friday, March 18, 2005 Jess Andrews, Certification Program Manager retired from the Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute. As we begin and complete the process of hiring a new manager, the Institute will share the duties related to the certification program among existing staff. During the interim time, Glenn Pribbenow, Director of the Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute will serve as the primary contact in Kansas for national certification programs. I can be reached by phone at 785-864-4790 or by email at gprib@ku.edu. As Jess enters retirement, we would like to thank him for his service. During his tenure at the Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute Jess helped implement many improvements in the Kansas system. Jess was instrumental in developing the study guides and skills examination sheets that have been shared throughout the country in many certification programs. Jess also helped manage the Instructor Training program as well as Technical Rescue training programs while serving at the Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute.
